"Echoes of Delusion" Premiere Recap

Words cannot describe how absolutely incredible our first premiere event was.
TBH, I was scared that nobody would actually show up—even with more than 70 RSVPs—and that it would just be me and my three closest friends watching the movie. So, I was blown away when I got on stage to a full venue with over 70 people in attendance.
We started the evening with an amazing performance by my dear friend and incredible musician, Fourtuna. Her dream pop aesthetic is to die for and set the perfect tone for the night.
Next, we had an incredible monologue by the talented Hanna Ripper, who performed a spoken word poem about her experience as a first-time mother (I know a lot of people in the audience could relate).
Throughout the event, we showcased a beautiful art exhibition on the theme Women and Their Heavenly Bodies by Yana Shevchenko. She’s so skilled that she can sculpt her own face in clay—like, what?!
And finally, to cap off the night, we screened my first short film, Echoes of Delusion… Just thinking about it makes me tear up (and it’s not just the wine I’m drinking as I write this). Being a filmmaker is a dream come true, and seeing my vision come to life in front of a full audience is something I never dared to dream about—until now.
This film means so much to me. Not only because it’s my official directorial debut, but because the project is deeply personal and incredibly vulnerable. It’s truly an exploration of how my brain works—and, judging by the title, you can probably tell I’m a bit delusional. But as one friend pointed out, maybe my delusions are the reason I keep working so hard :D
I just wanted to write this short post and share the recap video of the event because I still can’t believe it happened. The creativity on display that evening was out of this world, and I’m so grateful I got to create this space for people to connect and feel inspired.
Once again, a huge thank you to each person who was a part of this night in one way or another, I appreciate you incredibly. I’m already planning the next one, so stay tuned!
With love,
Adri
